Hi Amanda!
It’s good to hear from you!!! I apologize for being negligent in keeping you updated on Abigail. I think I had mentioned that we had two high school graduations in the family and that our son from AZ was coming up with the granddaughters…anyway, they came stayed for a week and a half (a good deal of time with us – YIPEEE!!), both kids graduated (my son, and my niece)…my sons open house was last weekend, and one coming up on Saturday for my niece.
As predicted, my granddaughters (particularly Mikcayla, the 2 ¾ year old) was WILD about Abigail…she’d been talking about Grammys Puppy Abbey since we told her we were getting her. We actually brought her with us to pick them up at the airport – I did get a hug and kiss first, but then it was right to Lady Abigail. Ahhh…did that warm my heart. Abigail did wonderfully with them, actually misses them now that they are gone…does great with the neighbor kids (we’re in a town house). She’s got all her shots, getting her monthly heartworm and flea and tick treatments, and is doing well with training – not perfect, but doing good. She’s sleeping through the night…mostly with us…absolutely LOVES to be near…touching if possible, but for sure within eyesight.
Abigail weighed in at 4 pounds, 6 ounces at 14 weeks. We haven’t scheduled it yet, but plan to have her spayed this summer…sooner than later, I think.
I’ll write more later – should get to work.
Joy (Abigail’s Mom)
